Las Vegas Adds 7,000 Jobs in August, State Report Shows
Nevada's August jobs report showed the Las Vegas area added 7,000 jobs from July and the state unemployment rate fell to 4.8%.

Olympia Companies and Bruin Capital Partners bought about 940 acres in northwest Las Vegas for Monument Hills, a planned community of up to 6,000 homes.
